Privacy Policy
Color Blindness Test collects nothing: no accounts, no analytics, no result storage, and images that never leave your browser. The short, honest version.

This is the whole privacy policy, in plain words: the tools on this site collect nothing about you. Below is exactly what happens, page by page, so you can verify each claim yourself.
What the tests do with your answers
When you take a test, your answers exist in the memory of the browser tab you are using. They are compared against the plate definitions in the page itself, the result is rendered on screen, and that is the end of the story. When you close or reload the tab, the answers are gone. There is no "save my result" button because there is no server to save to — you can confirm this by opening your browser's network panel while testing: it stays silent.
What the simulator does with your images
The color blind simulator reads your image using the browser's own file APIs, draws it onto an in-page canvas, and transforms the pixels in JavaScript on your device. The image is never uploaded — there is no upload endpoint in the application at all. Once the page is loaded, the simulator keeps working even if you disconnect from the network entirely. Downloaded simulation PNGs are created locally as well.
Accounts, cookies and tracking
- Accounts: there are none. The site has no sign-up, no login, and no way to create an identity.
- Cookies: the site itself sets no tracking cookies. (Your browser may keep ordinary cache and preference entries such as the chosen interface language; these stay on your device and are not transmitted to us.)
- Analytics and advertising: we run no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers on the tool pages. There is nothing to opt out of, because there is nothing running.
- Fingerprinting, session recording, A/B tooling: none.
Server logs
The site is served as static pages from a commercial hosting provider. Like essentially every web host, that provider processes standard request logs (URL requested, time, IP address, user agent) for security and operational purposes. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors, and we do not enrich or share them. This is the only place any request data exists, and it exists regardless of which site you visit anywhere on the web.
Children
The children's shape test asks for nothing: no name, no age, no email, no photo. A child's answers remain in the tab exactly like an adult's. We wrote the kids tool under a strict no-data principle precisely because it is aimed at children — if you are a parent or guardian, the kids test page spells out the same guarantees in parent-friendly wording.
What we would do if things changed
If a future feature ever required collecting anything (it is not planned), this policy would be updated and dated before the feature ships — and the default would remain "collect nothing". We will not retroactively change the meaning of data we never gathered in the first place, because there is none.
Your rights
Under regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA you have rights over your personal data. Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request. If you ever believe that is inaccurate, please write to us via the contact page and we will investigate and respond.
Verification
You do not have to take our word for it:
- Open any test page, open the browser developer tools, and watch the network tab while you answer plates or simulate images — no requests leave.
- Block the site's JavaScript after loading and take the URL with you; the static page content is all that ever existed server-side.
- Review the open-source components on the licenses page; the entire plate pipeline is inspectable.
